Sergio Aguero and his girlfriend Sofi Calzetti have welcomed their first child, becoming parents to a baby girl named Olivia.

It is Aguero’s second child with the legendary striker already having a 15-year-old son called Benjamin from a previous relationship with Diego Maradona’s daughter.

The 36-year-old and his model partner Calzetti announced they were expecting in a touching social media post back in March.

And they took to Instagram on Friday night to reveal that their little girl has now been born.

In a joint post on Instagram, they wrote: ‘September 13, 2024. Welcome Olivia! We can’t express in words so much happiness.’

The likes of David de Gea, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Patrick Kluivert were quick to congratulate the pair on their great news, as was Salt Bae.

Additionally, Benjamin Aguero posted some touching pictures of his father cuddling with his young daughter.

With his father having formerly been in a relationship with Gianinna Maradona, Benjamin is the grandson of the legendary Argentine player Maradona.

Lionel Messi is also his godfather, and he aspires to play at the young level for Independiente, just like his family did.

His father was forced to retire from football in 2021 at the age of 33 due to heart problems.

Aguero is considered one of the best strikers in Premier League history, scoring 184 goals in the top flight and winning the title on five occasions.
