‘He has some knocks’ – Pep Guardiola confirms Erling Haaland injury after clash with a Newcastle rival in Man City’s draw

Erling Haaland was unable to score in his first Premier League match of the 2024/25 in Man City’s 1-1 draw against Newcastle United.

The Norwegian forward also looked in some pain after a tackle from Dan Burn left a hole in his socks.

After the game, Pep Guardiola confirmed Haaland’s new injury and stated: “Erling Haaland had some knocks, we’ll see the next days.”

Man City face Slovan Bratislava in their next UEFA Champions League clash on 1 Ocober and Haaland might be a doubt for that game. The Norwegian forward has 10 goals in six Premier League games this season.
