Following their summer transfers to Saudi Arabia, former Liverpool greats Roberto Firmino and Fabinho made a return visit to the stadium on Monday night.

Although Firmino left on purpose (as stated in his autobiography Si Senor), Liverpool’s midfield is now without Fabinho as well, who abruptly left. Wataru Endo, who will soon depart for the Asian Cup, is the team’s lone No. 6. 

Despite having a poor season, holding midfielder Fabinho would still receive action for this squad. 

In the first half, Darwin Nunez had three great chances, but he failed to capitalise on Firmino’s calm play in front of the goal. But in the second half, the Uruguayan made up for it with a cool assist.
