As of now, Man United has won their first two Premier League games, 1-0 over Fulham. However, Alejandro Garnacho may still be having trouble sleeping after the game.

The three points were won by Manchester United with a late goal from new player Joshua Zirkee.

But in extra time, they should have made it 2-0 when Marcus Rashford took advantage of a mistake by the defence and ran through on goal.

The English player was kind and squared the ball to Garnacho, who turned it wide even though there was no one in the goal. 

Fans were shocked and couldn’t believe what they saw. One wrote on X, “like HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?”

Someone else made fun of the situation by writing, “Even grandpa would have scored that one.”

Some people said Rashford was partly to blame because he played the ball a little behind the Argentine, and one person said the pass “wasn’t great.”

“The Bassey clearance, the Rashford pass, and the Garnacho finish” was how one watcher summed it up. It was probably the worst set of play in the history of the sport. 

A guy went out of his way to comfort Garnacho after the game, but it was the player who was getting the most attention.

When Ruud van Nistelrooy saw the 20-year-old, he ran over to him, put his arm around him, and told him to keep his head up. 

Erik ten Hag, the team’s boss, said after the game that his players were wasting chances.  

Ten Hag told the press, “I think one thing we need to work on is how to games in the box.” “We saw it in the friendlies and finally last week when United lost the Community Shield to Manchester City.” 

“We had enough chances and shouldn’t have had to wait for a late winner,” he said. We need to keep our cool and teams.

“Perhaps it’s because the season is just beginning and the players need to get going.” There are enough guys on our team who can score.
