Hugo Duro Unveils His Words to Vinicius Jr in a Heated Moment, Following the Brazilian’s Two Goals as Real Madrid Stages a Comeback to Draw with Valencia

Hugo Duro, a forward for Valencia, spoke candidly with Vinicius Jr. following a heated altercation between the two following the Real Madrid forward’s equalising goal for Valencia on Saturday night.

After trailing 2-0 at the Mestalla, Real Madrid rallied for a thrilling 2-2 draw thanks to two goals from Vinicius Jr. in the second half.

After referee Jesus Gil blew for full time, Jude Bellingham’s attempt for Real Madrid was controversially disallowed because it had over the line.

As Real Madrid players swarmed the referee and shoved and pushed Valencia players, the England midfielder resisted and was sent out amid chaotic scenes.

Following the Brazilian’s equalising of the contest, Duro and Vinicius got into a fight.

After the game, Duro said he had discussed Vinicius’ “disrespectful” scoring celebration with him.

Duro reportedly remarked, “I blamed him for the goal because he put his hands over his ears towards the stands, but he told me that I did the same thing,” according to Marca.

However, the way he does it outside of the house and how I do it at home are different. They would be upset if I did it at the Bernabeu.

“It seems a little disrespectful,”

I advised him to dedicate himself solely to playing because, in my opinion, he looks like a cucumber or a plane.

‘I advised you to “dedicate yourself to playing because if you do you would be much better than what you are” .

“On a football pitch, all I can say is good for him—almost unstoppable.”

This was Real Madrid’s first game back at Mestalla after three Valencia fans were permanently banned after last season’s encounter was tainted by racist taunts directed at Vinicius Jr.

After hitting Duro in the game the previous year, Vinicius was sent off.

During Saturday’s game, Valencia fans whistled the forward and screamed, “Vinicius, how stupid you are.”

Duro had given the home team the lead in the first half, and at the break, Roman Yaremchuk doubled that margin.

At the end of the first half, Vinicius equalised in stoppage time in front of the end where fans had taunted him with racist remarks the previous season.

After removing the ball from the net, he seemed to address fans standing behind the goal. Vinicius faced the goal he had just scored in and gestured to the Black Power after crossing the halfway line.

Vinicius raised his ear to the supporters in celebration of his second goal.

‘The struggle continues!!’ was said as the 23-year-old posted a picture of himself performing the Black Power salute on Instagram following the brawl.Vinicius made the Black Power salute after his first goal and wrote 'the fight continues' on Instagram post-match

Duro, who scored Valencia’s 11th league goal of the season in the draw, said the spectators on Saturday had demonstrated “respect.”

“I want to congratulate the people of Mestalla and I am happy for them because they have shown respect,” Duro remarked.

“I am pleased with the behaviour as of today.”

Real Madrid extended their lead over Valencia at the top of La Liga to seven points with the draw, while Valencia stays in ninth place.
