Seventy-six thousand fans packed Arrowhead Stadium last night to witness the season’s most anticipated football game, which ended in an Eagles victory over the Chiefs.
Some were there to root for the Philadelphia Eagles, who failed to win the Super Bowl. Some fans supported their hometown team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Others hoped to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift.
None, however, have a more personal connection than Donna Kelce, 71, who told DailyMail.com that she was simply visiting her sons.
‘I’m here to see my sons, so no I’m not disappointed she’s not here,’ she said ahead of the game.
‘She’s wonderful and when she comes it’s great but for me it’s about them.’

‘I’m here to see my sons, so I’m not disappointed that Taylor isn’t here,’ she explained. ‘She’s wonderful, and when she comes, it’s wonderful, but it’s all about them for me.’ Donna and Taylor were photographed at a Kansas City Chiefs game last month.
Donna stated that she understood and didn’t mind fans’ keen interest in her younger son’s relationship with the billionaire popstar.
‘I understand,’ she said. It’s a happy story, which I understand people want.’
‘I’m just happy for my son,’ she explained.
Taylor’s Monday night performance was rescheduled after Swift canceled her Saturday night show due to extreme heat.
Donna went on to say that she would do what she always does when she watches the game tonight.
‘I’ll be supporting the offense,’ she said. They’re both responsible for the offense.’
In the end, Jason’s Eagles exacted revenge on Travis’ Chiefs for their Super Bowl LVII loss, winning 21-17.
Donna was seen with a police escort hours before the game Monday, wearing a half-red, half-green shirt in honor of her sons’ teams.
The mothers of NFL players waved to fans, with one exclaiming, ‘Love your boys!’
A fan died on Saturday from what appeared to be cardiac arrest, so Taylor Swift was thousands of miles away in Brazil, where the concert was rescheduled for Monday due to the intense heat.
Swift, 33, returned to the stadium with tears in her eyes on Sunday night. She told the crowd how much she loved them and dedicated a song to Ana Clara Benvides, a 23-year-old fan who passed away on Friday due to the same oppressive heat that forced Swift to postpone her performance on Saturday.
Swift’s cancellation threw Kelce’s plans for Monday off, as he had hoped that she would be there to support him.
Rather, he had to comfort and encourage an emotional Swift prior to her joining his squad on Sunday evening.
