Ilkay Gundogan ‘asked to LEAVE Barcelona’ just a season after leaving Man City, with Jose Mourinho ‘ready to do everything’ to take the midfielder to Fenerbahce😱😱

It is said that Ilkay Gundogan wants to leave Barcelona after only one season there.

After seven years with Manchester City, Gundogan left to join Barcelona in June of last year.

He did, however, sign a two-year deal, and he is now in the last year of it.

The German player has allegedly told the club that he wants to leave the La Liga giants, according to the Spanish newspaper Sport. 

Gundogan wasn’t even on Barcelona’s roster for their first La Liga game, which they won 2-1 over Valencia.

Hansi Flick, the boss of Barcelona, said that the midfielder wasn’t left off because of doubts about his future.

When asked about the former Man City star, Flick said, “I think he’ll stay at Barcelona.”

“He wasn’t at home tonight because he was hurting.” I talked to Ilkay, but that’s a private matter, so it stays between us.

A story from the Spanish newspaper Sport says that the midfielder told the coaches that he has “had enough” with the club and hopes that everyone can help him leave.

As for where the 33-year-old might go next, the story says that he has fans in both Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho, on the other hand, seems determined to sign Gundogan. 

The 61-year-old took over as manager of Fenerbache in June and has already been busy with transfers. Caglar Soyuncu, Cenk Tosun, and Youssef En-Nesyri all signed permanent deals, and he also got Allan Saint-Maximin on loan from Al-Ahli.

The story says Mourinho is ready to do anything to get Gundogan because he wants to bring him to Fenerbache so badly.

Gundogan may move to Turkey because he was born to Turkish parents.

Gundogan met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan before, in 2018. The meeting caused a stir when Gundogan called Erdogan “my president” even though he was not a Turkish citizen.
