After getting back to Manchester, the player was seen signing autographs for fans.
He was seen leaving a restaurant where he met Pep Guardiola, the boss of City.
They met for 50 minutes at the Spaniard’s TAST Restaurant in Manchester.
City and Gundogan have agreed to terms before his big return to the Etihad Stadium.
Competitors from Turkey, Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray, have shown no interest in the Premier League winners.
After seven years in England, he moved to Barcelona a little more than a year ago.
Following his move from Borussia Dortmund to City in 2016, Gundogan played 304 times for the club.
The German played as captain in his last season and scored 60 goals and set up 38 others.
During the 2022–23 season, he won 14 medals, including the treble.
He moved to Barcelona for free a year ago, but he has almost certainly left the Spanish giants.
Up to 10 players are set to leave the club before the transfer window closes, and Gundogan is in charge of the fire sale.
During his time in Spain, he played 51 times for Barcelona and scored five goals.
Gundogan will soon be back with City, and his international future has also been decided this week.
