English defender Harry Maguire, who plays for Manchester United, started every minute of England’s 2-0 UEFA Euro qualifying victory over Malta.

Manager Gareth Southgate started Maguire and United teammate Marcus Rashford.

Rashford, in contrast to Maguire, was unable to finish the match due to a violent collision with Trent-Alexander Arnold of Liverpool that resulted in his substitution.

On Friday, Cameroon substituted Fabrice Ondoa for goalkeeper Onana in the 81st minute of their World Cup qualifying match against Mauritius.

Following his dismissal from last winter’s World Cup due to a ban, Onana made a triumphant comeback to the Cameroon team in September. However, he will be out for an extended amount of time due to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

With the AFCON starting on January 13 and ending on February 11, the 27-year-old may be out for his new club for as much as six games.

Onana may potentially be unable to play in United’s FA Cup third round match on January 6-7 if he is called up early to participate in Cameroon’s pre-tournament training.
