Wayne Rooney is going back to England to live with his family. He will be staying in his £20 million “Morrisons mansion,” which has a pool, a full-size football field, two fishing lakes, and a movie theater.

The legendary player for Manchester United and England was just named as the new boss of Birmingham City. He takes over at St. Andrews from John Eustace, who was fired.

In 2021, Wayne, Coleen, and the rest of the Rooney family moved into their dream house.

Their £20 million home in Cheshire was called the “Morrisons mansion” while it was being built.

The house is on 40 acres of land and has a pool, two fishing lakes, and a movie theater.

It is thought that Rooney paid a Cheshire real estate developer more than £4 million to build the gated home (!)

His wife Coleen and their four boys, Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass, stayed in England with their mother. He was living in Washington with his coaching staff.

But once he joins the Blues, who are backed by Tom Brady, he will have all the support he needs from his family when he goes back home to live with them full-time in their fancy Cheshire house.

Rooney, who is 37, and Coleen, who is also 37, own a lot of land. They have homes in Florida, the Caribbean, and all over the UK.

Still, their £20 million, six-bedroom luxury home on 40 acres of land is the cherry on top.

The family moved in in December 2021 after it was built from scratch.

People say it’s in Cheshire and that its name is High Lake Manor.

You could even say that Rooney and his partner are the lord and lady of the house.

We told you about the property’s growth when it was being built that United’s all-time top scorer had a full-size football pitch built there, complete with seating.

The five-a-side pitch even has changing rooms with showers for his friends, but he couldn’t put up floodlights because his house is in the middle of nowhere.

He also has a movie theater, a swimming pool, a garage for his cars, and even two man-made lakes for fishing.

People think that Rooney really enjoys fishing.

Neighbors used to make fun of the house by saying that it looked like a Morrisons store because of its size and shape.

But unlike a Morrisons, it now has a bar, an orangery, a TV room, a snooker room, a movie theater, and a wine store.

There is also a hot tub, a plunge pool, a steam room, “his” and “hers” changing rooms, and a huge indoor pool ringed by a glass pavilion at Rooney’s fancy home.

Not only that, but it also has a large patio, beautifully landscaped grounds, and a garage for high-end cars.

The house has a guest toilet and separate lifts. Rooney is thought to have paid a Cheshire real estate developer over £4 million to build it.

The second lift also goes from the main area to the basement, which has a big gym, pool, Jacuzzi, and movie theater.

Thieves tried to break into Rooney’s home in Cheshire in 2016 before the police arrived and stopped them. This made them decide to build their dream home.

But the ex-striker grew up in a public house in Liverpool. His huge villa in Barbados, which he rents out for £25,000 a week, shows how good he is at real estate.

In 2007, he spent a lot of money. He bought a waterfront apartment in Florida for £320,000 and a separate house in Liverpool for £450,000 for his parents.

He and Coleen, who are thought to be worth about £115 million, now own homes all over the world after meeting when they were 16 years old.

Rooney broke Sir Bobby Charlton’s record for most goals scored for both United and England. He is now the record holder for both clubs and countries, though Harry Kane has now passed Charlton.

He went back to Everton for the first time since his injury in 2017 and ended the season as their top scorer. He then signed with DC United in the MLS.

He scored 23 goals in 48 games for the American team, but in a surprising move, he went back to England to play for Derby County in the Championship in 2020/21.
