Wayne Rooney had a terrible time with Birmingham. On Tuesday, he was fired after only 13 weeks as manager of the team.

The former England star had a bad run. In 15 games in charge, the Blues lost nine of them, which caused them to drop from sixth to twentieth in the table.

After being fired, Rooney said, “It will take me some time to get over this setback.” He also said that he was going to spend time with his wife Coleen and their kids while he looked for a new job.

Rooney will finally be able to relax after having three jobs in a row at Derby, DC United, and Birmingham, which required him to move a lot.

So, let’s take a look at the 38-year-old’s real estate business with his wife Coleen, including the many homes and vacation homes they’ve owned over the years.  

£20 million house in Cheshire

Coleen and Wayne met on a council estate in Liverpool when they were kids and fell in love. They went on to become undeniably rich while staying close to their poor beginnings.

They are now living in the lap of luxury as they have been living in a huge £20 million house in Cheshire for about a year and a half.  

The 38-year-old former England and Manchester United striker spent a lot of money to buy his dream family home. It is a rural fortress with six bedrooms that is set behind a lake and covers 40 acres of well-kept farmland. 

That’s pretty good for a boy from Croxteth, where small houses are crammed into narrow flats and cost a lot less than the £300,000 a week that Rooney made when he was at the top of his game.

The house has a snooker room, a home theater, an indoor pool, an underground spa, a wine cellar, a stable with room for 14 horses, and a football field for their four boys. 

Wayne and Coleen’s house is in the middle of 40 acres of land, away from everything else. It is on the flight path to Manchester Airport, so planes fly right over it.

The house is behind a lake and can be reached by a bridge. It is sometimes called the “Morrisons mansion” because it looks a lot like the store chain.

Coleen has been showing pictures of the huge house’s interior for a few months now. The main colors inside are classic creams and stylish grays. 

The kitchen is dominated by a big island with a white marble top. The floors are also made of marble, which matches the island. 

The walls are a light gray color, and the couple chose white for the furniture and the fridge. 

There are three large windows with white panels in the dining room that look out onto the family garden. Light gray curtains finish off the look.  

Coleen showed a glimpse of the Rooneys’ sitting room during the 2022 holiday season. The room still has a marble floor and white paneling on the walls.

The family had planned to move into the house in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic pushed back the date.

\But Coleen and Wayne had trouble with birds while they were remodeling the house, so they put in an automatic “bird-scarer” like those found at airports to keep birds from eating the grass seeds.

The wealthy people who lived nearby in the countryside of Cheshire got tired of the long building work because the gas-powered scarer would go off every 20 minutes.

The high-tech security measures around the property were another thing that annoyed people in the area.

A 9-foot-tall security fence was built around the land, but some people didn’t like it because they thought it would “urbanize” the rural area. The people in charge agreed with the Rooneys.

There is a big indoor pool with a glass dome around it on the ground floor. There is also a hot tub, a plunge pool, and a steam room. 

The former Manchester United star also has a stable block and a big garage for his collection of sports cars. There is also a “guest toilet” and two different elevators, one for the family and one for guests, so that people don’t have to use the couple’s downstairs bathroom, which would be rude.

On the second floor, there are six bedrooms, each with its bathroom. The master bedroom has a dressing room as well. 

Along with two floors, the house has a basement with a steam room, plunge pool, hot tub, gym, movie theater with ten seats, wine cellar, and snooker room with bar.

With six car bays and 14 horse stalls, along with a hay barn and tack room, the garage is very roomy.

Wayne’s first house was in Croxteth, Liverpool.

The big house, their first as a couple, had six bedrooms and acres of space. It was very different from the homes they had grown up in, and it was Wayne’s first tentative step into adulthood. Florida apartment for £300,000

Wayne was known as one of the best players of his age, so the couple spent about £320,000 on a waterfront apartment at Harbor Pointe in Port Charlotte, Florida, in 2007. Unfortunately, property prices fell during the recession, and they lost all of their money. 

As part of the resort grounds, the vacation home had its exercise center and heated pool, as well as a master suite and a study. 

At the time, MailOnline said that they bought the house through real estate agents Your Place Abroad, the same company that helped Michael Owen and former cricket player Andrew Flintoff find homes.

Wayne and Coleen traded Formby for Green Cheshire in 2006, but it wasn’t exactly cheap. They paid a huge £ 1.5 million for a plot of land in Prestbury next door to Bargain Hunt host David Dickinson. 

But soon after moving in, the couple made their neighbors very angry by tearing down a 1930s separate house to build their home, which is now a six-bedroom mansion with a pink swimming pool inside.

The pile also had a private movie theater, spa, swimming pool, and many rooms that would make Coleen, who is crazy about fashion, feel special.

Before moving to their present home, the Rooneys lived here for ten years.  

A person from Cheshire told the Independent at the time, “I don’t blame them for wanting a nice house, but they are destroying a piece of history.” ‘Some of the new homes are disgusting and horrible, with fake columns and marble bathrooms. 

“I used to live next door to that building, and it makes me mad to see people tearing down beautiful buildings to make money.” 

According to papers obtained by The Sun from the Land Registry, they made a profit of £3.7 million from the recent sale. 

“They were sad to sell it, but their new house is so great that they had no reason to keep it,” a person told the news source.

A £5 million house on the Royal Westmoreland Estate in Barbados  

Because Wayne and Coleen loved Barbados so much as a vacation spot, they spent £5 million on a rental home there in 2010.  

The Caribbean island’s Royal Westmoreland estate is home to the resort. It has become so famous with northern celebrities that the Jasmine Ridge neighborhood is now known as the “Northern Quarter.”

It covers 750 acres and has 225 villas and cottages that are individually owned. There is also a clubhouse, restaurant, spa, private beach, and golf course.

Coleen decorated the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-million-pound house when it was first built. It has stunning views of the sea.

The farm gives guests a free round of golf every day and lets them use a buggy.

As of 2017, the house rents for £25,410 a week during high season, like Christmas. During low season, it drops to £10,164 a week.

In 2017, John Morphet, owner of Royal Westmoreland, said, “We have a very wide range of people here.” When you walk through the gate, you’re on the same level as everyone else.

“They don’t get star-struck, and they don’t bother each other.” They don’t worry anyone; they just blend in.
