After the Chicago Fire dominated the second half on Wednesday, Inter Miami’s chances of making the playoffs were crushed.

The hosts beat the Herons 4-1, even though they were missing star player Lionel Messi. Xherdan Shaquiri, who used to play for Liverpool, and Maren Haile-Selassie both scored braces.
