Jack Grealish was accused of cheating after going down on the edge of the box in the first half of Manchester City’s Champions League second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday night. This made Vinicius Junior very angry.

In the second leg of their two-legged quarterfinal against Real Madrid at the Etihad, Vinicius made a tackle on Grealish on the edge of the Real Madrid 18-yard box, which sent him to the ground.

On replays, it looked like the Brazil winger’s raised right leg hit Grealish’s right boot as he passed the ball to a teammate on the edge of the area.

The England player went down in a pretty showy way, but referee Daniele Orsato let the game go on. And when the attack on the City stopped, Vinicius made it clear that he didn’t like Grealish.

The Real Madrid wide player yelled at the City defender while making a diving motion with his right hand. He seemed to be speaking Portuguese.

Grealish’s answer could not be seen because he had his back to the camera, but he seemed to say something back before laughing after his opponent accused him of cheating.

In the first half, Dani Carvajal also said the same thing about the judge. Later, Grealish got a yellow card for cutting off the Spanish right back from behind while the leaders of La Liga were on the attack. After 72 minutes, Jeremy Doku came on for the Englishman.

Rodriguez scored a goal in the 12th minute after Vinicius’s cross set him up. Real Madrid was ahead 1-0. The first shot was blocked by Ederson, but it went right back to the left and was finished by him.

After last week’s 3-3 tie at the Bernabeu, that gave the 14-time European winners a 4-3 lead overall. In the third-place match, the winner will play either Arsenal or Bayern Munich.

This wasn’t the first time Grealish got angry with a Madrid player. The last time was with Vinicius Jr. Two years ago, he was in a fight with Atletico Madrid.

Both of those quarterfinal legs had yellow cards. Sime Vrsaljko got one for a late hit on the England player, and Angel Correa got one for kicking the ball at him in the first game.

Later, while Stefan Savic was mad, Vrsaljko flicked the 28-year-old’s hair. In the second game, Grealish and Savic got into another fight when the City player, who was warming up on the bench at the time, insulted the defender, who then pulled Grealish’s hair.

They were also thought to have talked in the tunnel after the game was over. On his way to the Wanda Metropolitano locker rooms, Vrsaljko seemed to throw something at the City players.

Later, Darren Fletcher, a commentator for BT Sport, said that the cops had to step in and calm down both sets of players.

“As the players were leaving the tunnel, Grealish was walking down the tunnel then Savic caught up with him and all of a sudden there was a commotion right at the mouth of the tunnel,” he added.

“At that point, a lot of people ran into that area, and the two players, Savic and Grealish, were gone from my view very, very quickly. Four police officers then ran into that area, and there was a lot of noise down there.”

“I couldn’t tell you exactly what happened inside the tunnel because I can’t see it, but it was Savic involved again, Grealish the Man City player that was trying to leave the field, but another unsavoury situation here and very symptomatic of what we saw the last 15 minutes.”
