Jude Bellingham and Vinicius continued their impressive scoring form as Real Madrid defeated Osasuna 4-0

Real Madrid beat Osasuna 4-0 on Saturday to get back to the top of La Liga. Jude Bellingham scored two goals, continuing his bad luck.

Girona briefly took the lead with a one-point win at Cadiz, but Madrid quickly took back first place with a 4-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Vinicius Junior and Joselu scoring in the rout.

Bellingham, an English player who scored eight goals and led the league in scoring, was unbeatable once more in the final third.

The former Borussia Dortmund player has been moved into a more attacking role behind two center strikers by Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, and it has worked well. The midfielder scored a great goal by himself against Napoli in the Champions League last week and added two more against Osasuna. He now has 10 goals in 10 games across both categories.

Daniel Carvajal, a defender for Real Madrid, told Real Madrid TV, “He’s in great shape and showing what a great player he is. I hope he keeps it up.”

“I wish he scores more goals and helps us out because he can win us titles.”

Due to injuries to David Alaba and Eder Militao and Nacho’s suspension for the rough hit he made last weekend against Girona, Ancelotti put defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger in the middle of the defense.

Tchouameni, on the other hand, had a quiet afternoon at the back as Madrid controlled to make sure they stayed on top during the international break.

After nine minutes, Madrid broke the tie when Luka Modric, who was given a rare start, passed the ball to Carvajal, who then played it perfectly to Bellingham.

When the midfielder rushed into the box, he made room for himself and then fired home, giving goalie Sergio Herrera little chance.

Vinicius almost passed the ball to Bellingham but missed by a hair. At the other end, Madrid goalie Kepa Arrizabalaga could only watch. However, Osasuna did have a good chance just before halftime. Ante Budimir hit the crossbar after Ruben Pena set him up well.

In the 55th minute, Bellingham set up and scored Madrid’s second goal. He sped forward, played a one-two with Fede Valverde, and then swept home, showing the mix of grace and speed that he is known for. Vinicius gave Madrid a bigger lead when Valverde set him up to score. The Brazilian cleverly went around goalkeeper Herrera and tapped the ball in.

The winger set up the fourth goal by putting on-loan striker Joselu in front of the goal, who scored happily for his fifth league goal in six games.

Pena, an Osasuna wide player, told Movistar, “It’s a tough place to go where you play one of the best teams in the world. They were much better.”

When David Garcia gave up a penalty for handball, Joselu should have scored his sixth goal, but Herrera saved the forward’s shot, which was aimed down the middle.

The goalie for Osasuna has a great record when it comes to saving penalties. In one game, he stopped two shots from former Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.

Madrid’s afternoon was great, even though Joselu missed a goal. They had their biggest win of the season so far. “The team came out to get three points right away. We played a complete game in every way, and we didn’t give up many chances,” Carvajal said.
