The principal of a primary school remarked that the students were “thrilled” when England footballer Jude Bellingham attended their practice.
The Stourbridge students from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School were participating in a sporting event at Lea Vale Playing Fields.
The local player for Real Madrid attended as a distinguished visitor.
Anthony Wilkes, the school’s principal, said that the kids were pleased to meet Jude and play football with him.
The football player allowed the students to take pictures with him a day after he played well for England against Scotland.Jude was happy to participate in the workshop with our kids despite his big notoriety, Mr. Wilkes continued.”[They] were inspired by his journey from a local boy from Stourbridge to a professional footballer.”The 20-year-old Bellingham played football at Stourbridge Juniors before moving on to Birmingham City at the age of seven.
