There has been a lot of harsh criticism of Mbappe this season, even though he has scored nine goals in 17 games for Real Madrid. Notably, he has only scored four goals from open play in La Liga. Also, Thierry Henry was one of the people who asked the French striker why he was having so much trouble going through the middle.
Barcelona is the city that gets the most attention, and criticism is something that happens all the time there. Even though Bellingham is aware of this, the England midfielder has defended Mbappe by saying the abuse is “too much” and that his teammate is “only going to get better.”
