Real Madrid will use Jude Bellingham in their talks with Kylian Mbappe about a transfer. They want to finally end the saga and sign the national team leader from Paris Saint-Germain.
For three years, Madrid has been after Mbappe because they saw him as the next big thing after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. But every time Florentino Perez, the president of Madrid, has tried hard to get the goalmaker, he has failed.
It looked like Mbappe would be leaving PSG in the summer after he said in public that he would not be using the chance to extend his contract with the Ligue 1 giants. At the time, everyone knew that his plan was to play out his PSG contract and then leave for free in the summer of 2024.
However, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the head of PSG, wouldn’t have it. He insisted that his team would not let what was probably the best player in the world leave for free. Mbappe was put on the market by PSG at this point.
At this point, Madrid was thought to have a good chance of getting the 24-year-old to La Liga. But instead of Madrid’s offer being taken, it was the Saudi club Al Hilal that made a huge £259 million deal with PSG.
But the trade mess didn’t end there. Mbappe refused to talk to Al Hilal about a deal, so PSG kicked him out of the main team.
Although Mbappe has made peace with the people in charge at PSG, he has agreed to stay until 2025 on the condition that he can leave if Real Madrid makes a big offer.
Even though Mbappe has turned down Perez several times, it looks like Madrid is still interested in him. A few weeks ago, Jose Manuel Otero, the director of Madrid, told Remontada Blanca (via Sky Sports), “We hope that Kylian Mbappe will have the same reasoning as Jude Bellingham.”
It’s possible for Mbappe to join Bellingham at Real Madrid.
Sky Sports then talks about how Mbappe could finally decide to join Real Madrid. They say that Madrid’s leaders will use Bellingham to show Mbappe how a great player can get to the next level after joining the club.
There’s no doubt that Madrid beat Manchester City and Liverpool to sign Bellingham in the summer. He has been in amazing shape ever since. Ten goals in ten games from the middle by the 20-year-old may have already made himself Madrid’s new star player.
If Bellingham keeps up his great goal-scoring record and classy play, he will be in the running for the Ballon d’Or. If Mbappe goes to Madrid, he could also be in the running for the coveted individual trophy. Madrid will try to use this to convince Mbappe to do the same.
Mbappe’s chances of becoming like his hero Ronaldo and winning the Ballon d’Or would go up if he won the Champions League for the first time. PSG has signed great players like Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar, but they have never won Europe’s top club tournament.
Madrid, on the other hand, has won the UCL five times in the last ten years, including an amazing streak of three wins in a row from 2016 to 2018. This is another thing Madrid will do to try to get Mbappe to join them.
Bellingham’s move to Madrid seems to have gone well, which could be the last piece the club needs to make a long-awaited deal to get Mbappe.
