Jude Bellingham is said to have hurt his shoulder in Real Madrid’s 0-0 draw with Rayo Vallecano and will be checked out.
Real was stopped by Vallecano at home, even though Carlo Ancelotti’s team had a lot of chances.
The big teams in Spain are in second place in La Liga, two points behind Girona, who beat Osasuna 4–2 on Saturday and took the lead. Back at the Bernabeu, Bellingham showed the fans the Kopa Trophy he won at last week’s Ballon d’Or celebration.
He did hurt his shoulder, though, and was seen with heavy strapping on it after the game. Ancelotti said he still thinks the England star will be able to play in the Champions League. Ancelotti told them, “Bellingham is having trouble with his shoulder.” Tomorrow, he will have medical tests. I hope he can play against Braga on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old fell down in the first half and grabbed his shoulder, but he played the whole game. Could Ancelotti have been hoping for more Bellingham magic to make the rabbit appear out of the hat? The Englishman finally came up with nothing.
Before the game, Bellingham had scored 13 goals in 13 games, but he was finally stopped from making his mark on the events.
He did, however, hit the crossbar. Real Madrid had 20 shots on goal but couldn’t beat Stole Dimitrievski in the Vallecano goal.
The white team of Madrid will now have to wait with bated breath to see if Bellingham’s injury will last or if he can still play against Braga.
