Jude Bellingham tied Real Madrid’s record in the Champions League by scoring three goals in a row.
AHEAD OF TIME? In Tuesday’s Champions League match against Braga, the England international extended Real Madrid’s lead with another goal. Vinicius Jr. found Bellingham on the edge of the box, and Bellingham slid the ball home via the bottom corner.
The 20-year-old has now scored goals in each of Los Blancos’ three Champions League games this season. In addition, he assisted in the team’s most recent 3-2 victory over Napoli. Christian Karembeu was the only other Real Madrid player to accomplish this, having scored in three straight games in the continental competition in the 1997β98 campaign.
THE BIGGER PICTURE: With 11 goals in 12 games for the Madrid-based team this season, the former Dortmund star has been in outstanding form.
Next what? Now, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will get ready for the first El Clasico of the season when they play La Liga rivals Barcelona on Saturday.
