Kylian Mbappe was seen in training with bandages on his nose after getting hurt badly in France’s first Euro 2024 game against Austria.

The ace had to leave the game because he broke his nose when he collided with Kevin Danso on Monday night.

Max Wober scored an own goal that gave France a 1-0 win, but the blow made people worry about how much Mbappe could play in the rest of the Euros.

Fabrice Bryand, a former doctor for the France team, told L’Equipe that Mbappe would be out for at least 10 days, which would mean he couldn’t play in the rest of the group rounds.

Later, France said that Mbappe did not need surgery after all and would have a mask made for him so he could play.

The forward was still in good spirits despite the gruesome blow he suffered two days ago

 

Mbappe had to leave the game against Austria because he broke his nose when he collided with Kevin Danso.

Mbappe was seen feeling his nose during training, but he still took part and was seen taking a shot on goal.

In another place, he was happy, clapping his hands together and laughing at something funny.

One more picture shows Mbappe having a deep talk with manager Didier Deschamps and another staff member.

It looked like Deschamps was frustrated with his star player’s chances at first, saying that he was “not doing well.”

‘I don’t have the forces in my hands,’ he said. He wasn’t let off easy. We still don’t know. At this point, I can’t give you the truth. His health is bad. His job is to help the medical staff. He definitely took a big hit to the nose. It looks pretty difficult, which is bad news for us tonight. We need to check it out.

After the game, Mbappe was taken to what was likely the University Hospital of Düsseldorf in an ambulance. He did not need surgery, though.

The 25-year-old joked about his illness on Twitter, asking, “Any ideas for masks?” in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

He has worn masks before. People he worked with at PSG after he started there in 2017 made jokes about how much he looked like Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
