Kylian Mbappe matched an unwanted La Liga record in Real Madrid’s humbling at the hands of Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday.
WHAT HAPPENED?
During Madrid’s 4-0 hammering by their greatest rivals at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, the 25-year-old was caught offside on eight occasions – a career-high for the former Paris Saint-Germain star. According to ESPN, that matched the highest total for any player in a La Liga game since 2009, tying the unwanted record held by Elche’s Jonathas against Athletic Bilbao in May 2015.
