This meeting comes just ten days after Nani announced his retirement from football at the age of 38, concluding his career with a final spell at his hometown club, Estrela Amadora. Nani is best known for his time at Manchester United, where he became a cult hero as part of Ferguson’s successful team in the late 2000s. Ferguson brought him to Old Trafford in June 2007 from Sporting CP for £21 million. During his time at United, Nani made 230 appearances, scoring 41 goals and winning numerous accolades, including the Champions League in his first season, four Premier League titles, and two League Cups.
