Superstar Lionel Messi and his wife Antonela flew to Barcelona to have lunch with Sergio Busquets and his wife – Leo’s former teammate at Barca.

In the photo posted by Antonela, besides Messi and Busquets, there is also another couple. The group enjoyed lunch at the Chalito beach restaurant owned by Messi’s close friend and former teammate Luis Suarez. “How we wanted to go to Chalito… with the people we love so much,” Messi’s wife wrote in the caption. The Sun said that Messi and his wife took a private plane to Spain to meet friends.

Luis Suarez was not present at this reunion. The Uruguayan striker’s wife – Solfia Balbi – expressed regret: “I want to be here so much. Everyone is so beautiful and happy. Love you all.” Messi and Suarez played very closely together when they were both strikers at Barca. The two families often go on vacation together. Antonela and Sofia also cooperated in business but were unsuccessful.

Messi and Suarez’s close group since they were at Barca include Busquets, Jordi Alba and Cesc Fabregas. Argentine superstar and Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba spent 13 years together in Barca’s first team. The group still maintains their friendship even though Messi left for PSG last summer.
