Lionel Messi has been linked with a return to Barcelona for the second half of the 2023-2024 season on loan in January

Lionel Messi turned down a huge offer to return to Barcelona after leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. He said that the club’s money problems were the main reason for his choice. He finally joined Inter Miami of the Major League Soccer (MLS), where he has been a big hit.

But Messi has been hurt and hasn’t played in Inter Miami’s last few games, which has caused their form to drop seriously. At this point, it doesn’t look like they will be able to make it to the MLS playoffs at the end of the season.

Recently, Jorge Mas, the owner of Inter Miami, said that he would let Messi say goodbye to the Barcelona fans. However, it looks like this could happen sooner than imagined. At this point, though, it’s just a guess.
