Lionel Messi, his beautiful wife Antonella, and their three boys had a great time as a family by taking a picture with Ed Sheeran at the British singer’s concert. This was the start of Messi’s offseason after Inter Miami was eliminated from the MLS playoffs.
On Sunday, Messi, 36, recorded his kids, Mateo, 8, Thiago, 7, and Ciro, 5, singing along to Sheeran’s song “Bad Habits” at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. He then posted the video on Instagram.
In the video, Messi, who is wearing a plain white t-shirt, can be seen smiling while listening to his kids sing. He then nods his head to the beat of the song. After only an hour, his post had almost three million likes, even though it didn’t have a description.
Adidas said, “Messi x Ed Sheeran.”
Sheeran has been in the U.S. since June as part of “The Mathematics Tour.” The tour will end in Europe in August of next year.
His next show is set for October 28 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Messi got 11 goals in 14 games for Miami this season. He led Argentina to the 2022 World Cup.
The Herons lost all six of their league games and tied three others. Since Messi joined the team in the middle of July, they have had four wins, four losses, and four draws in the league.
This month, the Argentine scored twice in his country’s 2-0 win over Peru in a World Cup qualifying game. On Saturday, he played in Miami’s last normal MLS game and they lost 1-0.
Messi will likely wear the pink jersey again for Miami when the team plays two practice games in China on November 5 and 8. Int. Miami will be going on tour for the first time.
Argentina has more World Cup matches on November 16 and 21. Messi should then have a long break before Inter Miami starts getting ready for 2024.
It has been said that the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner might go back to Barcelona on loan while he waits for the 2023–24 MLS season to start.
Before the season ended, Inter Miami’s head coach, Gerardo “Tata” Martino, said that his team was tired from playing so many games. This was after winning the Leagues Cup in the summer, which was the club’s first trophy ever.
Martíno said through a translator, “We played in three tournaments and won one.” “The team was worn out.” That’s not an excuse. That’s the truth.
