Lionel Messi is back in training with the team before Inter Miami plays FC Cincinnati.

The Argentine forward has been out with a muscle injury for his team’s last four games in all competitions. This includes Wednesday’s 4-1 loss to the Chicago Fire.

But in a picture posted on X by Inter Miami’s official account, Messi could be seen training with his team on Friday.

After the game, the club’s Instagram account shared a picture of its No. 10 with the words “See you tomorrow.”

Messi had been seen working by himself before the game in Chicago. 

It’s no surprise that Miami has had a tough time without Messi.

The club has drawn twice and lost twice since the Argentine left after the 4-0 win over Toronto on September 20. They lost in the US Open Cup Final.

But he seemed healthy enough to be called up to the latest Argentina team. On Thursday, La Albiceleste put him on their lineup for this month’s World Cup qualifiers.

Of course, Miami is still in the running for a playoff spot, but the team has very little chance of making it.

There are only three games left in the season, but the Herons are still five points behind Miami in the standings, with 33 points. Montreal, in ninth place, has 38 points.

Messi hasn’t played much for Miami in MLS since he led the team to its first-ever League Cup win.

He has only played four times in the league because he was hurt and because Argentina called him up for World Cup trials last month.

He was still put forward for MLS MVP on Thursday, though.
