Lionel Messi Reveals His Son Mateo Celebrates and Pretends to Be a Liverpool Player When Playing Against Dad ⚽👨‍👦

LIONEL MESSI has disclosed that his son Mateo supports Real Madrid and impersonates a Liverpool player while doing so.

The Argentine great has three sons: Thiago, 10, Mateo, 8, and Ciro, 5. He is married to 35-year-old Antonela Roccuzzo.

In 2017, the Barcelona legend wed Antonela.

Messi enjoys playing football with his children in the backyard, and his second-oldest son has thought of a creative way to irritate his father.

When Mateo plays with me in the backyard, he says, “I’m Liverpool and Valencia because they beat you,” the Inter Miami player confessed to TyC Sports.

Messi famously lost to both the Reds and a LaLiga team while he was at Barcelona.

In the 2019 Champions League semifinal, the Catalan giants blew a three-goal aggregate lead as Liverpool prevailed 4-0 in the second leg at Anfield.

Messi once suffered a heartbreaking Champions League defeat to Liverpool.

Later that year, despite Messi scoring in the match, Valencia defeated Barca 2-1 in the Copa del Rey final.

Mateo, meanwhile, is skilled at manipulating his sibling using Barca’s El Clasico foe.

Messi acknowledged: “At home, when Thiago and Mateo watch football together, Mateo will celebrate Real Madrid goals to p**s off his brother.”

One viewer thought it was funny and added, “This kid is savage.”

One more said, “Nah Mateo is going to play for Madrid.”

Another said, “He is a menace.”

Mateo is prone to mischief; during the World Cup, his mother Antonela chastised him for flinging gum into the crowd.

Messi’s children want to carry on their father’s athletic legacy, and Thiago recently joined in Inter Miami’s program.

Mateo, who loves soccer just as much, sobbed after Argentina was knocked out of the World Cup after losing to Saudi Arabia in Qatar.
