Gravenberch consequently agreed to a five-year contract with Liverpool. The Kop has added a fourth player this summer, joining Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, and the Dutch midfielder.

Notably, midfielders are covered by all four of these contracts. After losing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, Naby Keita, Henderson, Fabinho, and others, Jurgen Klopp places a special emphasis on this position.

Ryan Gravenberch left Bayern after one season and joined Liverpool. He will don the number 38 shirt for the new group.

“I’m overjoyed that this arrangement is finalized and that I may now arrive here. This is one of the largest football teams in the world, at least from the outside. Liverpool is fantastic in every way, including the stadium and the supporters. I joined The Kop for that reason,” said Gravenberch.

“I’ll give Liverpool everything I’ve got. I want to be a title winner. We’ll compete well and promote ourselves to everyone in order to do this,” he continued.

In the midfield, Ryan Gravenberch is regarded as a versatile player who can excel in both the number 6 and number 8 positions. He graduated from the Ajax youth program, and in 2018 he was promoted to the main team. Prior to joining Bayern last summer, Gravenberch played 103 times across all competitions, scoring 12 goals.

Ryan Gravenberch, however, was unable to contend for an official playing position at Allianz Arena. The manager Thomas Tuchel later announced that the 21-year-old midfielder would be joining Liverpool this summer after he skipped training on Thursday.

Ryan Gravenberch’s coach, Jurgen Klopp, gushed over him to Liverpool TV, saying: “I’m incredibly glad that Gravenberch accepted to come to Liverpool, he has a great potential. Everyone is aware of that. At the age of 21, he has participated in over 100 games for Ajax.

“Gravenberch suffered a little at Bayern, but it’s very typical at that age. We have seen Gravenberch in action; he is a good fit for Liverpool’s strategy. This is good—you had a full preseason.

“Unfortunately, we are unable to collaborate directly because the national team series will start in early September. But we’ll begin when he returns. He’s a bright kid. I quickly became aware of that when speaking to him. Gravenberch enjoys being here, which is excellent.
