Liverpool are reportedly keen to test Newcastle's resolve to keep Anthony GordonAccording to reports, Liverpool is eager to see if Newcastle would stick with Anthony Gordon.

Premier League giant Liverpool is said to have taken notice of his performances as well.

According to The Daily Star, one of the first players the Reds plan to sign after Jurgen Klopp arrives is the Liverpudlian.

They claim that the Merseysiders will test Newcastle’s determination to hold onto the England international.

Gordon’s sale by the Magpies is apparently contingent upon receiving at least a £100 million offer.

To avoid breaking Financial Fair Play rules, cartoon leaders can try to settle their accounts. This might force them to get into talks.

Gordon cost an estimated £45 million when he was purchased by Newcastle from Everton in January of last year.

Gordon progressed through the ranks at Goodison Park, but it’s said that he was a lifetime Liverpool fan, something the Kop club intends to take advantage of when trying to sign him.

Gordon lost his cool when he was replaced during Newcastle’s 2-1 victory over Brentford last Saturday. He eventually apologized to Howe, though, for his furious response.

Howe said, “A part of me understood why he acted the way he did.”

“I didn’t support it; it isn’t appropriate for a player to act that way because it will give the impression that the team isn’t disciplined enough.”

“With only a few seconds left on the clock and Anthony falling and clutching his ankle, I decided to try and do what I thought was required to win the game.”

“He had to admit that and come in for a private meeting with me if he had any concerns.” I thought that was the appropriate way for him to respond in those situation.

He admitted that he had been overly sentimental.

I have nothing against him, though; this is a young kid who is learning about the game and us at the same time.

Newcastle’s next game is a trip to Old Trafford to play Manchester United on Wednesday.
