Liverpool XI vs Wolves: Gravenberch’s Debut, Predicted Lineup, Confirmed Team News, and Injury Updates 🔴⚽

Due to suspensions, injuries, and late returns from international duty, Jurgen Klopp must make a number of selections for the trip to Wolves.

We can all now celebrate that the international break is ended. However, the Reds will get off to an early start at a kickoff time they did not particularly enjoy last year.

With Liverpool hoping to add to the 10 points they already have after four games, it is hoped that record will start to turn around against Wolves.

When it comes to selecting his team, Klopp has a lot to think about, and the international break will likely have a significant impact on his choices.

There are decisions to be made, and this is how Molineux may see them.

There were a number of issues to clear up and Klopp assisted with his latest team update:

Liverpool’s lineup vs. Wolves

Since the No. 2 and No. 66 are undoubtedly different profiles, there are less clear options at right-back than Joe Gomez, but this will influence how Liverpool set up on the ball.

Konate will be able to reclaim his position at center back alongside Joel Matip as a result of the switch; this will be their third league start together since the start of 2022–2023.

Following his tardy return to Liverpool, Alexis Mac Allister may well sit on the sidelines, and two changes to the front three are expected.

Four changes from the last time the Reds took the field would thus be represented by this:

Liverpool would set up like this:

Alisson, Gomez, Matip, Konate, Robertson, Endo, Szoboszlai, and Jones, together with Salah, Jota, and Gakpo

The lineup listed above is what we are expected to see, although Klopp could shock us by bringing in a new player and a tough Mac Allister.

Ryan Gravenberch, a new signing for Liverpool who won the World Cup, is presumably too young to make his debut, but if it is determined that he has recovered well from his delayed return after 162 minutes with Argentina, he may still be selected for the starting lineup.

Kostas Tsimikas might be considered after playing only 90 minutes during the break for Andy Robertson, who had just completed 180 demanding minutes. However, this would require additional changes to the backline.

The Reds would take on the following shapes after these changes:

Salah, Jota, Gakpo, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gomez, Konate, Matip, Tsimikas, and Alisson

Whatever players Klopp chooses for his starting lineup, they should have enough firepower to defeat a Wolves team that has only won one of its first four games.

However, with only one victory out of six last year, the Reds have a dismal record in 12.30 kick-offs. It’s obvious that needs to change!

For the first time since his transfer, Gravenberch might play off the bench; let’s hope this will be his debut with a full roster.

Give us three points, Reds!
