The Uruguayan forward is poised to join forces with his former Barcelona colleagues Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba in the state of Florida.

According to reports, Luis Suarez, a former player for Barcelona and Liverpool, has purportedly reached an agreement to join Inter Miami, opting to terminate his tenure with Brazilian club Gremio prematurely.

In December 2022, Suarez entered into a contractual agreement with the Porto Alegre-based team for a duration of two years. However, coach Renato Gaucho has just declared that the 36-year-old player will be departing after only 12 months of this arrangement, coinciding with the conclusion of Brazil’s Serie A season next month.

As reported by ESPN, Suarez has recently reached an agreement on a one-year contractual arrangement with Inter Miami, which has the possibility of extending for an additional season. According to reports, there is purportedly a verbal agreement in existence, indicating that Suarez is anticipated to formally finalize his transfer to Miami in the near future.

The renowned figure from Uruguay was heavily associated with a potential transfer to Miami subsequent to his departure from Nacional in his country of origin. However, he ultimately opted to sign with Gremio instead.

If he were to go to Miami, he would have the opportunity to reunite with his former Barcelona colleagues Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, in addition to former Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino. Martino recently confirmed Inter Miami’s interest in signing Suarez.
