Modrić drew the Poland-Croatia match in Warsaw to round off the October international break. With a win and a draw, the Real Madrid captain concluded his month-long international career. He started and played the entire ninety minutes.

Zieliński gave the Poles an early lead, but Sosa tied the score fifteen minutes later. Between 24′ and 36′, Croatia traveled 1-3 up, passing via Sučić and then Baturina. Zalewski’s goal at 45′ ended the first half 2-3. Szymański tied it at three after the intermission.
