Monday, Luka Modric got special Nike shoes as a reward for winning the Ballon d’Or.

He put a picture of his brand-new shoes on Instagram—the manager of Real Madrid.

In addition, Modric’s club shared a film of the Croatian player getting ready for his big night.

The winner of the Ballon d’Or was thrilled to get the trophy, and he is driven to do better with Real Madrid.

“It’s hard for me to find the words to describe how I feel,” Modric said. Thank you to everyone who came along on my journey and made me happy. I had to hold back tears as I thought, “What an amazing evening it was to have been one of the players who won this prestigious award!”
