There’s no doubt that Manchester United has had a rough season. But this effort has had some good effects, one of which is the rise of a younger core.
Erik ten Hag has never been afraid to use his younger players if the regulars on the senior first team aren’t doing a good job. In the last 18 months, some of these players have done well.
Right now, Alejandro Garnacho is one of the first names on the team sheet, and the amazing Kobbie Mainoo has joined him. At this point, neither of them can be dropped.
In the middle of the pitch, Rasmus Hojlund is still making progress after scoring in his fourth straight game.
Luke Shaw said nice things about the Denmark international before this weekend’s game at Villa Park and said he will go on to do great things.Shaw told Sky Sports, “He will be one of the best.”
He needs to step up and get to work right away because he has a lot of responsibility. He wants to grow, change, and do his best.
Some first-team players, like Shaw, missed most of the first half of the season. Because of this, he hasn’t been able to play with Hojlund as much as he would have liked.
But in the past few weeks, when both players were healthy and at the top of their game, they seemed to get along well.
Shaw often goes after Hojlund’s runs, and the England star helped Hojlund score last week at Wolves.
