City, United, and Chelsea have all “contacted” Jorge Mendes to offer Lamine Yamal an “irrefutable salary” to leave Barcelona for their teams.
Even though he was only 17 years old during the European Championships, Yamal has become one of the best football players in the world. It was at that event that everyone took notice of him.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco have made renewing the teenager’s contract “one of the priority objectives before the end of the year” because of how well he has played for his club and his country.
According to a story in Spain, the club’s leaders “want to ensure the long-term continuity of the great star of the team, who is seen as Leo Messi’s heir apparent.”
Yamal is one of 30 finalists for this year’s Ballon d’Or, even though he is still very young. He is currently making a measly €32,000 per week, and his contract ends in 2026.
To get him out of Camp Nou, “many teams have already shown they are willing to make a stratospheric investment and pay him more than double what he earns right now.”
“There are four entities that have contacted Jorge Mendes, his agent, and Munir Nasraoui, his father, and offer him an irrefutable salary,” which means at least twice as much.
Premier League teams Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea have all made it clear that they want to sign Yamal. The player has refused to talk about his future so far, but he has said that playing under Hansi Flick at Barcelona makes him “comfortable.”
His departure would be “placed at the height of those of Leo Messi or Neymar Junior” because of how much interest there is in the Spanish-Moroccan player. If Barcelona doesn’t step in, they could miss out on seeing how he escapes and ends up leaving soon, which would be very painful for the fans.
So, Barcelona will give Yamal a “galactic contract” to keep him from leaving the team.
Yamal is having a great start to his time with Flick. He has three goals and four assists, and Barcelona has won all five of their La Liga games so far this season.
After the winger scored two goals in their 4-1 win over Girona and was praised by the other team’s fans, Flick talked about how important he was to the team.
“He’s so young, but he’s wonderful and makes a difference at such a young age,” Flick said. “Having him is important for us because he is good and presses very well as well.” He is both talented and under a lot of pressure, which is huge for us. He’s great.
