Alejandro Garnacho has been challenged by Erik ten Hag to keep ‘learning’ and improve because of his ‘not good enough’ early-season play.

The 19-year-old winger Garnacho started the first two league games against Wolves and Tottenham, but after leaving one of those contests in north London, he saw just 12 minutes of action before Wednesday’s Carabao Cup match with Palace.

Ten Hag disregarded the pleas and benched Garnacho while United’s traveling supporters yelled for him to be introduced in the victory at Burnley.
