Mainoo, who is 18 years old, has become a huge star at Old Trafford this season, quickly becoming one of the team’s best players before making his start for England last month.

But things could have gone very differently. When the talented midfielder was younger and in United’s school, City were eager to sign him.

He appeared in good spirits as he shared a laugh with one of his friends outside the restaurant

Every time they tried to get close to Mainoo, they were turned down. On Wednesday, he was seen with his friends having dinner at The Ivy in the city center of Manchester wearing a sky blue jacket, which gave them a glimpse of what they were missing.

As Mainoo left the restaurant, he looked happy and was telling a joke to one of his friends that made him laugh out loud.

Three days before he went to town for dinner, he scored another amazing goal for United in a 2-2 draw against Liverpool, who were in the running for the title.

Nemanja Vidic, a former United defender, said that Mainoo’s goal and effort as a whole made him look like Luka Modric, who won the Ballon d’Or.

Mainoo thanked the crowd at Old Trafford after scoring a spectacular goal. He has quickly become a fan favorite after stepping up for a team that has had trouble getting consistent wins this season under Erik ten Hag.

Because he is close with the fans, it seems like he has no plans to leave, even though he grew up in Stockport, which has become a great place for the City to find talented people.

But Mainoo chose a different road. Phil Foden, who is from the same town, is doing great with Pep Guardiola’s team.

Manchester City has been linked with Mainoo, and in November it was said that they were planning a crazy move to try to get the young player to join them at Etihad.

But since then, Mainoo has signed a long-term deal with United, making the Red Devils his home team for life.
