It is said that Manchester United has talked about getting Ousmane Dembélé from Paris Saint-Germain next year.
United signed five players for the first team during the summer transfer window. The window closed a little over two weeks ago, but the Red Devils are already interested in new players.
The Manchester Evening News recently told The Peoples Person that the club’s first plan for the summer of 2025 is to sign a defender, a midfielder, and a winger.
While it’s not unusual for clubs to plan their future transfers ahead of time, Fichajes has gone one step further and said United have already started talks for a new player.
The Spanish news source (via Football Transfers) says that the Premier League giants have begun talks with Dembele’s agents about a move to Old Trafford next year.
The 27-year-old star is said to be open to moving to the Premier League. He has already made it clear that he is willing to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Manchester United.
Dembele didn’t move to Paris until 2023 when a Ligue 1 team paid €50 million to get him out of his deal with Barcelona.
The French winger had a mixed first season at PSG, but he is off to a good start this season, having helped score three goals and set up three others in just four Ligue 1 games.
It seems like a good idea for Dembele to join United and possibly replace Antony, who has been a terrible deal.
Still, since it’s still early in the season, it’s best to be skeptical of the report.
For now, Erik ten Hag seems more interested in growing Amad Diallo, who has played so well in the first few games of the new season that he could take over the right-wing spot.
Amad has scored a goal and set up another in his three Premier League games. He made more chances than any other player on the pitch in his team’s 3-0 win over Southampton.
