The news that FOUR stars have returned to training in preparation for tomorrow’s match against Bayern Munich has delighted MANCHESTER UNITED supporters.
Fans who wanted the injured stars to play against Bayern Munich were advised to be patient by manager Erik Ten Hag, who claimed that they were more likely to be included in the team for the trip to Burnley the following week.
After the loss to Brighton on Saturday, he said: “Maybe, maybe one player, but I think Munich is a little bit too short. But I believe those players will return when we visit Burnley the following week. However, the return of Mason Mount, Raphael Varane, Sofyan Amrabat, and Kobbie Mainoo has given United supporters a big lift.Due to an unidentified muscle ailment, Varane and Mount missed the previous two United games. The two participated in practice with the team as a whole and should be eligible for selection when they face Bayern Munich.Meanwhile, Sofyan Amrabat is still working out separately from the rest of the team in an effort to get fit before making his United debut. The midfielder was scheduled to participate for Morocco during the international break, but he sustained a slight injury, delaying the date of his United debut.Kobbie Mainoo has now started training again after suffering an injury against Real Madrid in preseason, which is good news for United. The 18-year-old was a standout for United during the preseason, but a challenge from Madrid winger Rodrygo sidelined him for several months. He didn’t participate in the entirety of training like Amrabat.Ten Hag will continue to experiment in an effort to identify the strongest possible midfield, so anticipation for his comeback will be considerable.Following a challenging start to the season, United fans on Twitter were ecstatic by the injury news. One supporter tweeted in response to the four players’ return, “Finally, some good news for United. Will Varane and Mount’s presence at Bayern be enough to motivate them to a successful outcome, though? I have serious doubts.Another person commented, “It’s great to have Raphael Varane and Mason Mount back in action for Manchester United! The team is looking stronger than ever!”Another added: “Exciting news. They’ll resume their winning ways.Tomorrow at 8 p.m., United will play Bayern Munich at The Allianz Arena, marking Harry Kane’s Champions League debut for the Bundesliga team.According to rumours that surfaced earlier today, Kane was set on a summer transfer to United rather than Bayern, but United chose to sign Rasmus Hojlund.
