Manchester United have now used a one-year extension option in Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s contract, which they did with Victor Lindelof first.

According to The Athletic, United have used the clause in the English defender’s contract that allows them to stay at Old Trafford for one more year. His original deal was set to end in June 2024. Just a few days ago, the club used a similar rule to get Victor Lindelof paid.

Anthony Martial, Tom Heaton, Jonny Evans, and Hannibal Mejbri are the other four Red Devils stars whose contracts are coming to an end in the next six months. The club hasn’t decided what will happen with Heaton, Evans, or Mejbri yet, but Martial’s stay has been cut short.

As soon as the January transfer window opened, the Red Devils began selling players. Sergio Reguilon’s loan finished after only six months, and the left-back went back to Tottenham. Reports say they have also agreed with Borussia Dortmund to send Jadon Sancho back on loan for a short time. Now, Donny van de Beek is on loan at Frankfurt with the chance to buy.
