Joshua Zirkzee, a new player for Manchester United, was called “pure class” after staying behind to meet his fans outside of Old Trafford.

The Red Devils’ new scorer scored the game-winning goal on his first game, which gave the home team a 1-0 win over Fulham in the first game of the season.

With three minutes left in regular time, Alejandro Garnacho’s curling cross found Zirkzee, who jumped off the bench and scored the game-winning goal.

The Dutchman devoted time to sign autographs for fans outside Old Trafford

It was a nail-biting finish, but the Netherlands international won people over.

Live video from Sky Sports showed the 23-year-old meeting a group of excited United fans who were waiting outside the stadium to meet their hero.

People lined up to get his autograph and smiled for selfies.

In his United tracksuit, Zirkzee was happy to talk to and interact with the excited fans before going to his car.

The nice act was also well received online.

A United fan wrote, “He has won the hearts of United fans everywhere.”

A fourth person said, “Class act.”

“That’s how you win over fans!” wrote a fifth.

While he was on the field, Zirkzee couldn’t hold back his joy after scoring the game-winning goal in a dull United effort.

“To win here in my first home game and score a goal, it couldn’t be better,” the Dutch star said.

“I’ve been told that one of the best feelings at United is scoring at the Stretford End.”
