Man Utd open talks with Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo but face £69m transfer battle with European giants

Reports say that MANCHESTER UNITED wants to sign Ronald Araujo, a star player for Barcelona.

Since moving to the Nou Camp in 2019, the center back has done a great job.

United has been keeping an eye on Araujo for a while now, and Erik ten Hag has known for a while that he needs a new defender.

Florian Plettenberg, a trade expert, says that the Red Devils have asked about Araujo’s availability and have been told that he will cost £69 million this month.

That means United might not make a move for the Brazilian until the summer. Bayern Munich is also said to be interested in him.

Late this year, the two teams might go head-to-head, but Araujo is said to want to stay at Barcelona.

He is thought to have turned down United’s offers, which means they may have to look for other options.

Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo is one of many center-backs who have been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

It has been a long-term goal to get the Frenchman. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford know him well because they got him for Nice in 2021.
