TWO of the biggest clubs in Europe are keeping an eye on Alejandro Garnacho as his bad start to the season continues.
So far, the winger from Argentina has had to sit on the bench a lot.
Some say that his lack of activity even led to a fight with his boss Erik Ten Hag, who was upset about a social media post Garnacho made about not playing.
SunSport can now say that Barcelona and Juventus are on high watch because of what’s going on.
The big teams from Spain and Italy are keeping an eye on the situation and might be able to make a huge offer to United in the summer.
Fans really like the player, and United is thought to be worth £50m for him.
In a vague post earlier this year, he said, “God has something planned for me” after Ten Hag left him out of the starting lineup for their 2-1 loss to Brighton.
The Argentine had to come on as a replacement in both of United’s first two games this season. He played the last 30 minutes against Fulham and the Seagulls, helping Joshua Zirkzee score the late winner at Old Trafford against Fulham.
A few weeks ago, Ten Hag was asked if he thought Garnacho was the best in the world, which also made people look twice.
“You have gone too quickly,” Ten Hag replied. He has a long way to go before he can be world class.
“He definitely has a lot of potential.” But he made a difference last season, and he can be in the starting XI.
“You have to work hard first. He got to be where he is now thanks to that, and I think it will also help him become a world-class player.
Last season, Garnacho did a great job for United. He scored nine goals and set up four others, and he was one of the few bright spots in a tough season.
