Raphael Varane is the latest center-back for Manchester United to doubt his future at Old Trafford.

The 30-year-old former Real Madrid star, who joined Manchester United in a deal worth £41 million, is said to be unhappy with how his season has gone at Old Trafford. In the last five games, 35-year-old veteran defender Jonny Evans has been picked ahead of him three times.

Even though he’s been healthy, Varane hasn’t been able to show boss Erik ten Hag why he should be in the team instead of Evans. Varane has won four Champions Leagues with Real Madrid and one World Cup with France.

Manchester United's critical axis is fractured beyond repair

And it looks like he’s being treated the same way Harry Maguire was earlier in the season when Ten Hag put the England star at center back but played Luke Shaw at left back.

Ten Hag trusts people a lot. He also doesn’t seem to have much faith in Varane, who was at fault when United’s defense fell apart in the last few minutes of their important Champions League match against Copenhagen in Denmark.
