After playing for Portugal in the Nations League, BRUNO FERNANDES is back in Cheshire.
The captain of Manchester United played twice for Portugal, against Croatia and Scotland. Against Scotland, he scored the equalizer.
His shot from outside the box went over the head of custodian Angus Gunn, but former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo scored the victory.
Fernandes, who is 30, helped Portugal win both games to finish first in their Nations League group. He is now back to focussing on club football, though.
He went to Sainsbury’s and filled the trunk of his £200,000 Bentley with food and water. He is now back in Cheshire.
Fernandes has a great collection of cars, which includes a Mini Cooper, an Audi Q7 worth £64,000, and an £85,000 BMW X5.
But his fast Porsche Panamera Turbo S, which costs about £150,000, is the best of the bunch.
And he might get more because he signed a new deal this summer worth £350,000 a week, making him United’s joint-highest-paid player.
After putting pen to paper, Fernandes talked about how happy he is at the club. He also said that the Red Devils are a long way from being title challengers.
“Yes, I am fully aware that this Manchester United is not ready to win the Premier League,” he said after Liverpool beat them 3-0.
“Yes, we are competing for the title, and our real goal is to finish in the top four spots, which are the only ways to get into the Champions League.”
“But there is still a lot I can do to become better and reach my bigger goal, which is to win this championship one day.”
