While Matthijs de Ligt was being introduced at Manchester United, he and his wife Annekee Molenaar couldn’t keep their hands off of each other.
United was able to get De Ligt and Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. Both of the defenders cost a total of €70m, which is about £60m or $77m. Molenaar shared pictures of the center-back’s unveiling, in which he looks very happy.

The couple braved the rain in Manchester and looked thrilled to be at the famous stadium, where Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Eric Cantona have played with great success.

Molenaar is the daughter of former Netherlands international Keje Molenaar. There is a picture of De Ligt and Molenaar relaxing in the home changing room while the centre-back gets used to his new surroundings.
The football player was rising quickly through the ranks at Ajax when they started dating in 2018. Molenaar was trying to become a model.
After five years, De Ligt asked her to marry him in 2023, and they got married right before the Euros. But things didn’t go as planned because the centre-back was called up at the last minute to play a warm-up game against Iceland for the Netherlands on his wedding day.
