In the context of the uncertain future of Antony and Jadon Sancho, MU is considering signing former Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi who is currently unemployed after leaving PSV last week.

MU’s situation at the moment is quite chaotic, as Erik ten Hag has to deal with Antony being suspended with an unknown return date while waiting for the police to investigate allegations of attacking his ex-girlfriend and two other women.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho publicly ‘fought’ against his Dutch teacher, causing their relationship to deteriorate.

Originally two hopes for the Red Devils, Antony and Sancho combined have a total value of 158 million pounds, and are a big threat.

Faced with that situation, according to Daily Mail, Erik ten Hag intends to bring in 28-year-old countryman El Ghazi to solve the immediate problem. Because he is a free player, MU can sign this player without any problems.

However, the news that the MU captain targeted El Ghazi faced a strong reaction from fans. They fear El Ghazi will be a disappointing ‘second Wout Weghorst’.

“Buying El Ghazi is worse than borrowing Wout Weghorst. He only limits the playing time of other players and doesn’t help anything. Is MU joking?” one person spoke up.

And the opinion is harsher: “I would rather play with 10 people than put El Ghazi in the starting lineup.”

“El Ghazi will be the end of this club, worse than Wout Weghorst,” added a strong reaction.

Or, “Last season it was Wout Weghorst, this season it’s El Ghazi,…”.

El Ghazi was seen in the Emirates stands watching MU 1-3 Arsenal, round 4 of the Premier League on September 3.
