Since he joined the team last year, the Brazilian has been one of their best players. Sticking out in the middle, the tough player played 29 times in the Premier League for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team as they avoided going down.

TNT Sports says that this form has made at least two of the biggest football clubs in Europe interested in the 23-year-old. Along with Manchester United, AC Milan in Serie A is also said to be interested in the Forest star.

The news source says Erik ten Hag’s team would have to pay around £34 million to get him this summer. And Forest wouldn’t mind selling the man they bought from Palmeiras in January 2023 for only £18 million.

Even though United has been busy this summer, they still want to improve their centre. Leon Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui have all signed with the club as defenders. Forward Joshua Zirkzee has also joined the team at Old Trafford.

A lot of middle-field stars have been linked to the club. This month, big names like Manuel Ugarte, a player for PSG, were being considered.

The Mirror said last week that new sports director Dan Ashworth had made a shortlist of five candidates. The players on the list were Youssouf Fofana of Monaco, Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad, Richard Rios of Palmeiras, Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina, and Sander Berge of Burnley.

A week later, it looks like it will be very hard to get deals done for Fofana and Zubimendi. The Frenchman is almost certain to move to Milan, and Zubimendi turned down Liverpool’s desire to stay at the club where he grew up.

Football season starts for United on Friday night when they host Fulham at Old Trafford. The boss did say that his players are “not ready” for the game against Fulham, which won’t have made fans feel better.

He told reporters on Thursday, “The league starts, but the team isn’t ready.” “This is a problem for a lot of managers, but we need to start somewhere.”

“We can’t run away from it.” We can’t get away from it. It’s something we need to handle.
