STARS from both the men’s and women’s Manchester United teams continued their Christmas tradition of giving to nearby hospitals.
The women’s first team went to see patients, their families, and staff, and the men’s first team sent gift bags to spread holiday cheer.
Marcus Rashford wrapped gifts, and the men’s team also sent video notes to the Hospital for Sick Children, Francis House Children’s Hospice, and The Christie.
Send shirts, scarves, hats, and soft toys with United themes.
David De Gea was seen putting gifts in a Christmas bag. Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek were also seen helping to spread Christmas cheer.
The women’s team, meanwhile, went to all three hospitals to see patients. In addition to delivering gifts, they posed for pictures and signed autographs for people who were having a hard Christmas.
“One of the most important things that we do as players and staff at Manchester United, especially around Christmas time, is help people in our community,” said Harry Maguire, captain of the United team.
“For us, sending well wishes and packing gifts for the hospitals, putting smiles on people’s faces is really important.”
Rashford, on the other hand, said, “There’s no doubt that we enjoy helping the kids and staff at the hospitals as a team.”
“To put a smile on young people’s faces and seeing them happy gives us a massive boost over Christmas.”
Marc Skinner, the head coach of Manchester United Women, was there with leader Katie Zelem and players like Alessia Russo and Millie Turner.
Zelem said, “It’s been great to make the kids smile. We look forward to coming every year to give our energy and love to the kids who hopefully will be better soon.”
“We know how big of a club Manchester United is, but at the heart of it is always the community.”
