Marcus Rashford has teamed up with British luxury brand Burberry in a bid to end child hunger in the UK this winter

Once more, football and fashion come together, but this time for a reason other than fashion. Burberry is next to Marcus Rashford, a striker for Manchester United who works both on and off the game.

Because Burberry and Rashford are working together, the charity FareShare will be able to give 200,000 meals to 11,000 community groups and organisations across the UK. Burberry not only gives money to help fight child hunger, but it also works closely with London Youth, an organisation that supports over 600 youth groups and gives young people thousands of ways to get involved every year.

The relationship is also focused on Manchester, where the brand supports the Norbrook Youth Club and the Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre. Both of these youth centres were very important to Marcus Rashford’s childhood and growth.

With help from Burberry, the Manchester United striker’s projects can now go global and aren’t just limited to projects in the UK. For this reason, the football player has chosen to share a letter he wrote to a young Marcus Rashford, who was only 10 years old. In it, he tells Rashford about the important things in life and how to deal with problems in the right way. Rashford’s voice is now part of the #BurberryVoices hashtag for the brand’s social media marketing.

Exciting words from a boy who shows off his skills on the ball without forgetting where he came from and what’s important in life. To protect what used to be his everyday life makes him a better boy and man. Burberry knows this, so they’ve chosen to back him up in these fights and use him as their perfect face for charity campaigns.
